ALBA Graduate Business School


ALBA (founded in 1992) operates under the auspices of the Federation of Greek Industries, the leading employers' union in Greece, the Hellenic Management Association, and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It has considerable experience in EC Project management and implementation and is a leading academic institution in Greece, active in the field of innovation. ALBA is an educational not-for-profit association of 89 large Greek corporations. ALBA’s mission is to foster a new generation of managers, from Greece, but also from other countries in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Balkans and Eastern Europe, capable of operating in a global environment, and equipped with the necessary skills for becoming agents and catalysts of change and development in the region. It does so by offering Vocational Education and a rigorous postgraduate business education of the highest international academic standards, adapted to the circumstances of the not-fully developed economies and societies.

Role in the project

ALBA is the leading Graduate Business School in Greece with an established reputation in graduate programs, executive education and academic and applied research. Over the last few years ALBA, through its Applied Research and Innovation Department, has been actively involved in primary and applied research in the areas of e-learning, mobile services, the social assimilation of mobile technologies, and innovative simulation games for the development of soft skills and competencies in education programs. ALBA will deploy this experience in the design of m-learning scenarios, the development of the Vocational Education content/service, and the piloting and testing of the "MOVE-ON" service. More specifically ALBA will focus primarily on the design of mobile learning pedagogy & scenarios that are suitable for the transient character of the context of mobile use. Finally, ALBA will offer vocational educational material for the following professional courses: Logistics and Sales management.
